Order vs. Chaos: Directing Lines in Your Lobby

How orderly your lines are in your lobby has a huge impact on how customers view your business. All the nicest lobby furnishings in the world won't help you if your lines are chaotic. That's why it's important to use the proper crowd management methods to control lines in your lobby.

One important thing that every lobby needs is a jersey barricade system system to keep people in line... and from cutting in lines. Think of the fabric crowd control fence that you see in the airport security line, or directing lines at the movie theater. Without these jersey fences, rather than snaking a line around like that to take up as little space as possible, the line would be crooked and stretching out the door in no time. And as nice as it is to give the impression you are busy, you also want to give the impression that you take care of your customers in an orderly fashion.

Most business owners know that creating a good impression is an important part of your lobby's job. What you may not realize is that even things as simple as ostensibly out of your control as how customers behave in your lobby can make a strong impression on your customers. Investing in some crowd control items such as jersey barriers can ensure that your customers behave themselves in your lobby!
