Life Insurance Premium Financing

My husband I worked hard our whole life and now we are in our late sixties and we are able to say that we have 3 homes and a piece of property that are paid off. We have watched the values go up and down and so we decided to consult with our banks financial advisor to make sure we are handling our assets in the most productive way we can.

To our surprise our bank brought to our attention that we have more money wrapped up in our real estate than we do in cash. Therefore they suggested we look to our life insurance to pay our real estate taxes. Life insurance premium financing is not something we had considered but after we weighed our options it seemed like the right thing to do to protect our financial interests.

We checked our life insurance and we were able to initiate premium financing for life insurance at a low interest rate. We are relieved to know we will only pay 1% plus prime and will be able to fulfill the loan obligation within a couple of years. Now we don’t have to worry about the taxes on the homes or exhausting our finances to pay them.

Lost in the Shuffle

I run a couple of different poker related websites. Since 2003, the internet has been absolutely flooded with various different poker websites. Basically, anyone with a loose knowledge of poker thinks that they can run a poker website.

Unfortunately, most of the websites will never been seen by the average poker player or poker fan. The reason is because the site has been poorly optimized for SEO. Many website designers that run a site as a hobby do not have the proper SEO training needed to make sure their site will get to the top of a search engine.

What winds up happening in the case of most websites is that they purchase an SEO package from a web design company, or they wind up giving up on their site. Some people will take the time to learn how to properly design their site, but it winds up costing them a lot of time and money.

Fortunately, I don’t have to worry as much about SEO. I am primarily a content writer and with a few exceptions, most of my content will stand on its own. Any tweaking is usually done by the head webmaster. That’s fine by me as I would much rather focus on creating quality content.

Selling Software

Is anyone out there in the market for some web page software? I have a ton of the stuff from my old job and I am looking to get rid of it. I recently retired after nearly 50 years of working for a medicinal magazine. As their graphic designer, I have purchased much software over the past few years including Dreamweaver templates, SEO keyword training manuals and PHP solutions.

Although our magazine focused on nephrology and cancer research, I needed top notch software to ensure that the graphics would jump out. It’s not easy to make a medicinal news story interesting with pictures believe me! Anyway, I am getting rid of all this software because I simply have no use for it anymore. If you would like to take a look at it, I am holding a garage sale this Saturday morning. If you cannot stop by at that time, email me and we will make other plans. I am fully aware that website builder software is changing constantly so the older products I am letting go I will obviously sell for a very cheap price. Please let me know if you are interested. The sooner I can get rid of all this stuff the sooner I can put my job behind me and get on with my retirement!
